SIWWAA is: Human

To nurture our creativity, we have had to stay vulnerable, and curious. 

To continually capture details – from big picture ideas to minutiae - without missing anything in between, we have had to commit to thoughtfulness. 

Successfully designing for others has been a call to empathy: to stand in others’ shoes, see the world as they see it, and understand their deepest needs.

In our stories one finds a desire to connect. 

Using African heritage as a starting point, we launch into universal themes of the human experience. Take for instance the Chanzo Collection, which was inspired by the concept of “beginnings” seen through the lens of African heritage. 

The inspiration is inevitably African, but the experience of new beginnings is part and parcel of our collective human experience.
